The midfielder is the club’s only major signing this summer after completing a move from Borussia Monchengladbach before Euro 2016.
There is great anticipation about his arrival, with Gunners fans having watched his impressive displays for Switzerland as they reached the knockout stages of the tournament.

They are hoping that he can add the physicality that has been missing from their midfield since Patrick Vieira departed the club.
Coquelin is confident about his new teammates ability, saying he believes the Swiss star will add quality to the current Arsenal squad.
“It’s Arsenal Football Club, we know we’re going to sign quality players,” he told arsenal.com.
“I saw him in the Euros and he’s a good passer of the ball, he’s strong and good in the air so I think he’s going to add quality and strength to the squad and that’s a good thing.”

It remains to be seen whether Xhaka does prove to be a good acquisition for Arsenal next season.
They have certainly been lacking a player with his aggressive and physical style, and Gunners fans will be hoping his addition proves to be a smart one.
Based on his performances at Euro 2016, he certainly seems to have the attributes to be a big hit at the Emirates and will be keen to make his mark as quickly as possible.
