According to The Daily Mail, Everton are looking to sign a goalkeeper in the summer transfer window.
Last month, The Guardian reported of Everton’s interest in Tim Krul, who is on the books of Championship club Newcastle United at the moment.
Krul suffered a long-term injury last season, while Schmeichel appears to be too expensive.
The perfect goalkeeper for Everton under the current circumstances would be West Ham United’s Darren Randolph.
Randolph is the second-choice goalkeeper at West Ham, and he is likely to remain so next season.

Adrian has firmly established himself as the Hammers’ number one between the posts, and the 29-year-old would have to play second fiddle to him during the 2016-17 campaign.
The Republic of Ireland international is a good goalkeeper, and he did well when he was called into action last season.
In six Premier League appearances for the Hammers during the 2015-16 season, Randolph kept two clean sheets.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper made on average 1.67 saves per game and 0.83 saves per goal during the 2015-16 campaign.
In four matches for the Republic of Ireland at the 2016 European Championship in France this summer, Randolph kept one clean sheet, and made on average 3.25 saves per game and 2.60 saves per goal.
Moreover, according to a report in The Sun, West Ham are willing to sell Randolph in the summer transfer window for a fee of around £3 million.
Randolph is not a world-class goalkeeper, but he would be a perfect signing for Everton for £3m to compete with Joel Robles and Maarten Stekelenburg for the number one spot.
