Mark Warburton signed eight players for Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers this summer - and one of them dazzled on Saturday.
Rangers kicked off the 2016-17 campaign by beating Motherwell 2-0 in the League Cup at Fir Park on Saturday afternoon.
The prolific right-back James Tavernier opened the scoring on 48 minutes, before striker Martyn Waghorn added a second in the dying stages as the Gers got back to winning ways following their disappointment in the Scottish Cup final two months ago.
There were a few new faces on display yesterday; one of which was Niko Kranjcar, who joined Rangers on a free transfer earlier this summer.
With 81 Croatia caps and Champions League experience with Tottenham Hotspur under his belt, the 31-year-old might be Rangers' biggest player as far as profile goes.
And the playmaker gave fans a glimpse into his undoubted class with a slick 30-minute cameo at Fir Park which had Rangers supporters only wanting more.

Rangers fans may see him from the start on Tuesday when Annan visit Ibrox in another League Cup affair.
Several other new boys are expected to start against Athletic, such as defenders Clint Hill and Lee Hodson, and potentially midfielder Joey Barton.
