The Gunners are reportedly interested in all three strikers, but the stats show one should be top of their list.
If reports are to be believed, Arsenal are in the hunt for a new striker in this summer transfer window.
They have already seen a move for Leicester City star Jamie Vardy fall through after he elected to stay with the Premier League champions.
Since then they have been linked with strikers all across Europe as they seek to secure the man to finally answer their striker problems.
All three would be excellent signings for the Gunners, but which one would be the best for them? A look at the stats from WhoScored provides a definitive answer.
|Team||Goals||Total Shots per Game||Shot Accuracy||Key Passes per Game||Successful Dribbles per Game||Passing Accuracy||Appearances|
|Mauro Icard||Inter Milan||16||1.7||50%||1||0.3||73%||33|
Higuain was comfortably the best goal-scorer last season, managing 36 goals in total, with Lacazette bagging 21 and Icardi 16.
He also registered far more shots per game than the duo and enjoyed a better shot accuracy, 58% to Lacazette’s score of 57% and Icardi’s 50%.
Higuain was also better when it came to key passes per game, registering 1.5 per game compared to 1.3 and 1 for the Lyon and Inter Milan stars.
The Argentine international also enjoyed a better passing accuracy, managing a score of 78% compared to the tallies of 77% and 73% enjoyed by his rivals.
It was not total domination though as Lacazette came out on top with successful dribbles, 1.7 per game compared to Higuain’s tally of 1.4 and Icardi’s 0.3.
A win in five of the six key areas for Higuain nonetheless, who on this evidence should be the Gunners' primary target.
