Celtic fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with a move for Jon Flanagan in the summer transfer window.

According to The Scottish Sun, the Scottish Premiership champions are interested in signing Flanagan from Liverpool this summer.

It has been reported that new Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has made an official approach for the 23-year-old full-back.

The Liverpool Echo, though, claims that Liverpool are not looking to sell Flanagan this summer, and that manager Jurgen Klopp considers him as part of his plans for the 2016-17 season.

Flanagan has been on the books of Liverpool his entire professional career so far, but he has not played much competitive football for the past two seasons due to injury.

The full-back featured in five Premier League matches for the Reds last season, creating two chances in the process.

The England international had a pass accuracy of 83%, and won seven headers, two dribbles and nine tackles.

Flanagan failed to play a single match in the Premier League for Liverpool during the 2014-15 season, while in 2013-14, he featured in 13 league matches.
