Aston Villa ran out 5-1 winners over Worcester City in a pre-season friendly.
Aaron Tshibola has earned praise from Aston Villa fans, after making his first appearance for the Midlands side in their friendly against Worcester.
Villa ran out 5-1 winners over the non-league team, with Roberto Di Matteo putting out a fairly strong team in the fixture.
All eyes were on Tshibola during the contest, and the midfielder did not disappoint on his maiden appearance.
The youngster showed his combative streak, as he played the first 45 minutes of the contest. Here is the best reaction to his performance on social media site Twitter.
@benired standouts Toner, Grealish, Rushian Murphy, Hutton... Davis scored 2 tap ins and Stan was good on the ball, Tshibola got stuck in— MattVTIDRichings (@mrav7) July 16, 2016
@ANNEMARIEsport Was at worcs, MOM Gary Gardner. Aaron Tshibola is excellent. Worcs weren't a pushover.— JOHN BLANEY (@deltazebedee1) July 16, 2016
@Jaydogg_3001 he did well. Slotted in nicely next to Gardner in the middle and kept moving things forward and out wide to Grealish/Bennett— Andrew Stone (@andrewstone85) July 16, 2016
@JakeMooreSport i thought that he was okay, bit nervous perhaps, but certainly showed he cared and looks like a player who can drive the team— SP19 (@domninja123) July 16, 2016
@PaAmavi like he was strong with his tackles, good in the air and did some decent passes, can't shoot tho— ㅤㅤㅤ (@MattyAVFC_) July 16, 2016
Tshibola has arrived at Villa from Reading, and he is expected to have a big role to play next term.
The 21-year-old impressed in the Championship last season, and his arrival bolsters Villa’s midfield ranks.
Di Matteo’s side are currently unbeaten in pre-season, where they have spent most their time in Austria.
Villa’s Championship campaign gets underway next month with a match against Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough.
