Tottenham's Clinton N'Jie is reportedly wanted by Marseille
French news outlet L'Equipe are reporting that French giants Marseille want to bring Tottenham Hotspur's Cameroonian forward Clinton N'Jie to the Stade Velodrome this summer.
The report suggests that the Ligue 1 side are keen on a loan deal with the option to buy at the end of the campaign.
N'Jie during training with Spurs
N'Jie, 22, was brought to White Hart Lane last summer from Lyon, but failed to have any kind of impact on the first-team and made only eight Premier League appearances, with all of those coming from the substitutes' bench.
L'Equipe go on to claim that the French side are confident of sealing a deal for N'Jie, with manager Franck Passi particularly keen on bring the Cameroon international to the club.
N'Jie failed to make an impact at Spurs
A loan move could be the deal that is suited to all parties involved. With N'Jie's undoubted talent and potential, it would be rather rash of Spurs to sell the player outright after only giving him one season to impress.
The 22-year-old would also gain experience and surely would receive more game time at Marseille, should any kind of move come to fruition.
It could be a switch that is hugely beneficial for all parties concerned.
