Report: Schalke target Dusan Tadic as Sane replacement

The Southampton midfielder is reportedly being targeted should Sane sign for Manchester City.

According to the Daily Mail, Southampton midfielder Dusan Tadic is a target for Schalke as they brace themselves to sell Leroy Sane to Manchester City.

The highly rated youngster is expected to join Pep Guardiola at the Etihad in a big money move.

Should that happen, the German side will have to find a replacement for one of their key men and they are drawing up a list of targets.

And according to the Daily Mail, Southampton midfielder Tadic is one of the potential players they will look to sign.

The Serbia international has been a big hit at St Mary’s since arriving in 2014, with 11 goals in 65 Premier League games to his name.

He has been offered a new contract by the club, but the report claims that he is looking to make a move away.

Schalke are not the only club to show an interest in his services though, with Bundesliga rivals Bayer Leverkusen also thought to have an interest in him.

He would join a growing list of players leaving the club this summer, with Victor Wanyama and Sadio Mane already having move to Tottenham and Liverpool respectively.
