Crystal Palace are set to make a bid of £20 million to sign Saido Berahino from West Bromwich Albion in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.
“Palace, despite moving for Berahino, have not totally given up on Benteke and could even end up bringing in both front men in what would be a mouthwatering strike partnership,” states the report in The Sun.
Berahino scored four goals and created 18 chances in 31 Premier League appearances for West Brom last season.
The 22-year-old striker had a pass accuracy of 78% and a shot accuracy of 44%, and won eight headers, 18 dribbles and 14 tackles.
Palace have been quite active in the summer transfer window so far, as manager Alan Pardew prepares for the upcoming 2016-17 campaign.
The London club have signed goalkeeper Steve Mandanda from Marseille, winger Andros Townsend from Newcastle United and defender James Tomkins from West Ham United.
The Eagles will be aiming to finish at least in the top 10 of the Premier League next season.
