Premier League duo Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion have both missed out as reported target Franco Vazquez has sealed a switch to Sevilla, as reported by the Spanish club’s official website.

The former Palermo forward drew plenty of speculation over his future this summer following a terrific campaign in Serie A where he posted eight goals and seven assists.

Vazquez told Italian publication Gazzetta Giallorossa, via theBirmingham Mail, of West Brom’s bid while Talksport recently claim that the Eagles also lodged a bid for the 27-year-old.

Both Palace and West Brom are seemingly in the market for a new central playmaker this summer, and Vazquez would have been an ideal option when considering his form over the past 12 months.

However, the Premier League duo have ultimately missed out with Sevilla confirming his arrival.

The Europa League kings have seen coach Unai Emery leave the club for Paris Saint-Germain this summer, yet that hasn’t affected their ability in the transfer market with Vazquez one of a few new faces.

The two-capped Italy international boasts plenty of ability and would have been a great addition to English football, yet instead he will be in Spain and playing Champion League football with Sevilla.
