Rangers have opened talks with Rob Kiernan over a new contract, according to The Daily Mail.

It has been reported by the British newspaper that Scottish Premiership-bound Rangers have opened talks with the defender, but he has yet to commit to a new deal.

It has been reported that talks between the Gers and Kiernan are going on, and that the Ibrox outfit remain confident of the defender signing a new contract.

Kiernan joined Rangers in the summer of 2015 after leaving English club Wigan Athletic and has a contract with the Gers until June 2017, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
