The Dutch international has headed to Spurs in a deal believed to be in the region of £18 million.
Vincent Janssen scores the first goal for Netherlands
It was a transfer saga in the end as Spurs were continually told to up their offer for the AZ Alkmaar striker, who scored 27 goals in the Eredvisie last season.

Reports are conflicting on a final price, but Sky Sports report that Spurs paid a fee in the region of £18.6 million.
It was a fee that shocked one person in particular – his mother.
Speaking to Brabants Dagblad Annemarie Janssen had this to say about his big money move to England:
"When it was about 10 million, I had been thinking: ‘what is this?’ Eventually they paid double. ‘What's this about?’ You think."

However, she is clearly pleased to see her son doing so well and is also looking forward, it seems, to regular invites to the English capital:
“We just have to do our job. Traveling to Vincent’s games will take a little longer, though. But that is London now so then again not so much.
"The man who had accompanied him during the medical examination said that Vincent was such a nice, kind, interested boy. Still, nice to hear. "
Netherland's Vincent Janssen celebrates.
Janssen’s fee is even more incredible when you consider the fact AZ only paid Almere City £340,000 for his services last summer – as reported by The Telegraph.
Tottenham Hotspur however are pleased with their investment and will no doubt be hoping he can make his mother very proud in London – and show her he is worth every penny.
