Sunderland supporters appear to have had a mixed reaction to the news that David Moyes could become their next manager.
The Daily Mirror have suggested that Sunderland could move for Moyes, if Sam Allardyce takes the England job.
The FA are in talks with Allardyce, as they have identified him as their first choice replacement for Roy Hodgson.
Sunderland have urged England to make a swift decision over whether they will appoint Allardyce, as they do not want the speculation to disrupt their preparations for the upcoming campaign.
Allardyce has returned from Sunderland’s pre-season tour of Austria to hold an interview over the Three Lions’ post.
If he does take the England job on, as expected, Sunderland will reportedly move for the out of work Moyes.
Some Sunderland fans feel that Moyes would do a good job at the Stadium of Light, but others are more sceptical.
No qualms with Big Sam if he takes England job, served us well, deserves a shot - hope he stays though. Moyes a solid replacement #SAFC— Josh McKenna (@JDJMcKenna) July 14, 2016
If Big Sam takes England job, out of the shortlist of names going around, the only person I would be happy with is Moyes #SAFC— Rysiek Hudka (@rysiek_hudka) July 14, 2016
Got no fancy for Moyes. If he does become manager & BSA gets the England job it's just another season following SAFC never a boring one— Stuart (@durhamloyal) July 13, 2016
Get Moyes in, take that daft blazer off him and stick him in an #safc tracksuit and give him 20m and we will see results.— Dan (@dan429366) July 13, 2016
Big Sam going would be tough. Annoying too. But Moyes would be perfect for us. Really believe he could do great things at #SAFC if he comes.— Daniel Graham Parker (@dgp202) July 13, 2016
1 man for the job if allardyce leaves - Moyes hopefully with stockdale etc still on coaching team good on low budget and hard to beat #SAFC— Earles93 (@Earles93) July 13, 2016
@SAFCsource couldn't agree more don't particularly want moyes I'd take a risk with Avb but de boer/pellegrini would be number 1 pick— james (@jam3s_forster) July 13, 2016
Moyes had an impressive time at Everton - but his last two jobs, at Manchester United and Real Sociedad, have been disappointing.
