New Tottenham signing Vincent Janssen has described himself in nine words to any Spurs supporters that may not have had the chance to see him in action in the Eredivisie, in his interviews with Spurs TV.

The 22-year-old arrival from AZ describes himself as "a strong striker, both footed and can score goals."

It is sure to be music to the ears of Spurs fans who have been crying out for a new striker for years, and they have finally gotten someone young, talented and in form with the transfer of the Netherlands international.

Janssen's transfer has been heralded by Spurs fans being made to wait multiple transfer windows for striker reinforcements. Clinton Njie and Heung-Min Son arrived last summer as attacking options, but neither player are genuine, specialised goalscorers.

Tottenham have had one of them at their club for the last couple of seasons, with Harry Kane in astonishing form, but remarkably, Janssen's last 12 months saw him score more times than Kane's strongest season, as the Dutchman scored 32 times for AZ.

If his description of his playing style wasn't enough for Spurs fans, he also had a message directly to his new supporters, saying: "I'm really pleased to be here, and I can't wait to play games for this beautiful club."
