According to the Mirror, Liverpool have inserted a buy-back clause in Jordon Ibe’s switch to Bournemouth.

The winger looks set to complete a move to the Cherries this week after they had a £15 million offer accepted by Liverpool.

He will sign a four-year contract with Eddie Howe’s side after being told by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp that he is not a major part of his plans at Anfield.

It was originally reported that the German had planned to use him as a squad player next season, but felt he deserved his chance at first-team football elsewhere.

While he did not see him starring next season, he clearly believes that could change in future, with the Mirror reporting that the Reds have negotiated both a buy-back clause and a sell-on clause into the deal.

It remains to be seen whether Ibe can flourish at Bournemouth after struggling at Liverpool.

He had been hotly tipped as a ready-made replacement for Raheem Sterling at Anfield, but struggled to find the consistency needed to become a Reds star.

He will be getting regular first-team football on the South Coast though and that could prove to be the difference for him in the long term.
