According to the Liverpool Echo, John Stones is hoping to complete a move to Manchester City before the start of his pre-season next week.
The defender has been heavily linked with a move to the Etihad over the last few months, with Pep Guardiola eyeing him to improve his defence.
So far a formal bid has not been submitted, likely because he was a part of the England squad at Euro 2016.

According to the Liverpool Echo, he has already held talks with Ronald Koeman and told the new Everton boss that he wishes to depart Goodison Park.

And they believe that he wants to start his pre-season under Pep Guardiola, which will lead City trying to push a deal through before his return to Finch Farm next week.
The Blues have already began to plan for life without the 22-year-old, and will likely look to spend the majority of the £50 million they are expected to receive on a replacement for him.
