Bournemouth look set to beat Arsenal to the signing of Bolton Wanderers defender Rob Holding, the Sun reports (page 51, Wednesday edition).

It was reported by the same source last month that Arsene Wenger's side were confident of luring the 20-year-old to London in a £1.2 million deal.

But the Cherries look to have stolen a march on their illustrious Premier League rivals and not for the first time this summer, with French striker Lys Mousset reportedly snubbing interest from both the Gunners and Tottenham Hotspur to move to Dean Court (L'Equipe).

Eddie Howe's side are also said to have fought off a host of European giants, including Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan and Celtic, to land Fulham's United States international Emerson Hyndman (the Sun).

In moving to Bournemouth, Holding will likely link up with England Under-21 colleague Jordon Ibe, whose £15 million transfer from Liverpool is believed to be nearing completion (Liverpool Echo).

The versatile centre-back played 30 times for Bolton last season and was a rare positive in a dismal campaign, which saw the Trotters drop to the third tier for the first time in 23 years.
