Hull City are reportedly discussing a move for Lamine Sane.
According to reports from L’Equipe, newly promoted Hull City are currently in negotiations over the signing of Bordeaux defender Lamine Sane.
The Tigers were expected to significantly strengthen their squad this summer in order to equip themselves well enough to stave off relegation but somewhat surprisingly the Tigers have not made any signings so far.
It is clear to see that manager Steve Bruce is currently adopting a patient approach in the transfer market but things will surely pick up for Hull within the next few weeks.
Now according to recent reports emerging out of France, Hull could be making their first signing of the summer in the form of Bordeaux defender Sane.
L’Equipe claims that Hull are currently in talks with Bordeaux over the signing of the defender and the transfer is a distinct possibility.
The Senegalese international has been plying his trade in Bordeaux since 2009 and has made almost 250 appearances in all competitions for the French Ligue 1 side.
Following seven successful years at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux, Sane is believed to be ready to leave this summer and Bordeaux may have to cash in on the fiery 29-year-old as he has only one year to run on his current deal at the club.
Hull will now be a good opportunity for Sane to test himself in the English top flight and it will be interesting to see if the defender will be a productive signing for the Tigers.
Would Sane be a good addition to the Hull side?
