Ryan Christie has made just five Scottish Premiership appearances for Celtic to date.
Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie has told the Glasgow Evening Times that he feels that Brendan Rodgers’ style will be perfect for him.
Christie joined Celtic last summer, but he was immediately loaned out by old boss Ronny Deila to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The youngster only made five appearances in the Scottish Premiership for the Bhoys last term, but he is convinced that Rodgers’ passing style will aid his chances of breaking into the first-team.
"Every manager has their own ideas about how they want their teams to play," Christie said. "We’ve had a few team meetings where he’s explained what he wants and it suits me down to the ground."
Christie has shown flashes of quality in his handful of appearances for the first-team, and he scored on the final day of last term.
The 21-year-old has been part of the Bhoys squad, which have gone unbeaten over pre-season so far.
Celtic have been on tour of Slovenia, where they have played four matches without defeat.
Celtic are now due to complete the rest of their pre-season back in Glasgow, as Rodgers’ steps up his side’s preparations ahead of the new campaign.
Celtic’s competitive season gets underway this evening, with a match against Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar in Champions League qualification.
