Wolves are currently subject of a big money takeover bid - and now a big money attacker has been linked too.

The Sun report Benfica forward Anderson Talisca is on their radar, and as improbable as it sounds, there are connections at play which make a deal sound feasible.

Talisca's agent is Jorge Mendes, who is advising Chinese billionaire Robin Li's takeover.

It is claimed that it is more feasible for Talisca to attain a work permit for the Championship side, than it would be for Premier League Liverpool, who are also linked with his signature.

The report goes onto claim Talisca is impressed with Wolves' plans, and that he is valued at a staggering £21 million.

This deal is evidently a long way from completion, but it goes to show the standard of players Wolves are competing to buy.

Talisca plays as an attacking midfielder and is just 22-years-old. Just last year he was described by The Metro as a transfer target for Chelsea manager at the time Jose Mourinho.

Wolves were not considered among the strong contenders for promotion next season, but their takeover could change all that it if is completed quickly.

The chance to buy players of the calibre and reputation like Talisca is exciting for a club which have been out of the Premier League since 2012, and an indication that steps are being taken to get back into the big time.
