According to Gianluca di Marzio, Juventus have rejected an approach from Arsenal for Daniele Rugani.

The Gunners are expected to be busy in this summer transfer window as they seek to make themselves title challengers next season.

They have already added midfielder Granit Xhaka to their squad and are thought to have made a striker top of their wish list.

They may look for signings in other areas though, with many believing that they need a new central defender to partner Laurent Koscielny.

And it transpires that they may have targeted one, with Gianluca di Marzio reporting that they made an approach for defender Daniele Rugani.

However, Serie A champions Juventus are not interested in selling their young starlet and rejected the offer outright.

The Gunners are not the only Premier League side reportedly interested, with CalcioMercato claiming that Everton have made a move for his services also.

They report that the Blues made a £25.5 million offer for the 21-year-old, and it would be interesting to see if Arsenal firm up their reported interest with a firm bid also.
