According to Gianlucadimarzio.com, Tottenham are interested in signing the 23-year-old striker from Inter.
North London rivals Arsenal are also reported to be interested in the Argentina international, and so are Spanish club Atletico Madrid.
Icardi's wife and agent Wanda Nara recently told Calciomercato.com that Inter want to sell the former Sampdoria striker.
However, Inter sporting director Ausilio has dismissed talks of the striker leaving the club this summer.
"I'm not angry about it, I just would have preferred to spend my Sunday differently,” Inter’s official website quotes Ausilio as saying when asked about speculation linking Icardi with a move away from the club this summer.
“It made me smile to be honest but I do think it was the wrong time and the wrong place. You always have the opportunity to discuss these things but I feel it was done the wrong way. It should be done in private.
"In any case, one day of headlines is enough; let's talk about things that matter. Icardi signed a new contract a year ago, we've made him our captain and he's not for sale. Anything else is just talk.”
Blow for Tottenham Hotspur?
Ausilio’s comments will come as a blow to Tottenham, as Icardi would have been good signing for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
The 23-year-old is hugely talented and has been scoring quite frequently for the past two seasons.
Icardi scored 16 goals and created 32 chances in 33 Serie A appearances for Inter last season. During the 2014-15 campaign, the Argentine scored 22 goals and created 34 chances in 36 league matches for the Italian giants.
