According to a report in the Brighton Argus, Nottingham Forest are considering making a move for Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Jake Forster-Caskey.

The 22-year-old looks set to leave Brighton this summer, after being deemed surplus to requirements.

There was high hopes for the England youth international’s future at Brighton during his younger days, but he never quite made the breakthrough at the AMEX Stadium.

Forster-Caskey was sent out on loan to MK Dons last season, and Hughton reportedly now feels that the time has come to let the midfielder leave on a permanent transfer.

Forest are one of the clubs that are said to be weighing up whether to make a move for Forster-Caskey, but they face competition.

Forster-Caskey made 20 appearances in the Championship for MK Dons during his loan spell last season, and he scored on one occasion.
