West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho wants to move to Sunderland in the summer transfer window, according to The Sunderland Echo.

It has been reported by the British newspaper that West Bromwich Albion, Crystal Palace and Watford are all interested in securing the services of the 26-year-old striker this summer.

Sunderland are also looking to sign Sakho this summer, according to the report, which claims that the Senegal international favours a move to the Stadium of Light.

The Sunderland Echo has claimed that the ex-Metz striker wants to link up with former West Ham manager Sam Allardyce at Sunderland next season.

Diafra Sakho celebrates after scoring the first goal for West Ham

It was Allardyce who signed Sakho from Metz for West Ham in the summer of 2014. The striker scored 10 goals and created 23 chances in 23 Premier League appearances for the Hammers during the 2014-15 campaign.

Sakho scored five goals and created 14 chances in 21 league matches for the London outfit during the 2015-16 season.

West Ham will be aiming to finish in the top six of the Premier League next season, while Sunderland could be pushing for a top-10 spot.
