Aston Villa are reportedly expecting a new bid from Celtic for winger Scott Sinclair.
Manchester City’s Fernando in action with Aston Villa’s Scott Sinclair
According to The Telegraph, Celtic are considering a new £3m bid for Aston Villa forward Scott Sinclair – and Villa expect the offer to come this week.
The Bhoys have made just one signing under new manager Brendan Rodgers so far, as striker Moussa Dembele joined the club on a four-year deal from Fulham last month.

Rodgers will be looking for more new signings though, and one of his favourite players over the years is being heavily touted for a move to Celtic Park.
Winger Scott Sinclair worked with Rodgers in the youth setup at Chelsea before reuniting at Swansea City in 2010, and after 36 goals in 91 games for the Swans, Sinclair moved on to Manchester City.

Now with Aston Villa following a 2015 switch to Villa Park, Sinclair scored six goals in 27 games last season, but couldn’t prevent Villa from suffering relegation to the Championship.
The Telegraph now report that Celtic have had two bids rejected for Sinclair as Rodgers attempts to reunite with the player again, but their pursuit of the player may not be over just yet, as it’s claimed that Celtic are now looking to make a third bid, this time worth £3m.

It’s added that Villa are expecting to receive a new bid this week, with Celtic backing their manager in the pursuit of a player he has enjoyed great success with previously.
With pace and an eye for goal, Sinclair would be a great signing for Celtic – but whether they can convince Villa to sell remains to be seen.
