According to The Sun, Swansea City have joined Southampton in the race to sign Cristian Tello.
The report claims that Swansea have made an approach for the £15 million-rated winger and Tello is keen to leave current club Barcelona after growing tired of a lack of first-team action at the Nou Camp.
The one-capped Spain international came through the youth ranks at Barcelona following a brief spell at Espanyol and initially broke in to the first-team squad under then manager Pep Guardiola.
Despite show initial promise and an absolute abundance of raw pace, Tello struggled to find the necessary game-time to improve largely as a result of increased competition for places at the Nou Camp.
The 24-year-old then enjoyed a decent spell on loan at Porto, returning to the club again for a second season before moving to Fiorentina last season and making four league appearances.
The Saints have money to spend following the sale of Sadio Mane to Liverpool, but the Swans are said to be pushing harder and could use the cash from the imminent exit of Bafetimbi Gomis to strike a deal.
