Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on the performance of Erik Lamela against Chelsea at home on Sunday afternoon.
Lamela did not start the Premier League encounter at White Hart Lane, but came on as a substitute for midfielder Ryan Mason in the 56th minute.
The Argentina international attacker failed to inspire Spurs, though, as the London derby ended in a goalless draw.
The 23-year-old former AS Roma star did not take a single shot, had a pass accuracy of 67%, created two chances, and made two interceptions.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at White Hart Lane, hosts Spurs had 57% of the possession, took nine shots of which four were on target, and earned four corners.
Following the draw, Tottenham fans took to Twitter to have their say on the performance of Lamela.
Below are some of the best comments:
I actually think if we had started Lamela over Mason, we would have been a lot more threatening! #THFC— John Hall ™ (@JohnHall1985) November 29, 2015
Love that Lamela never gives up on ANYTHING. Poch has transformed him. #THFC— Harry Sherlock (@Harry_Sherlock) November 29, 2015
Lamela is talented but is one of the few remaining undisciplined players from years past. would love a Norwich draw or win later on #COYS— Ryan Levering (@levering22) November 29, 2015
All Lamela has done is give away the ball or stupid fouls since he's been on! #coys— Steve Diamond (@Dibbsy10) November 29, 2015
Never thought I'd say this, but lamela makes a real difference #COYS— Grahame Withington (@Nowhereman1982) November 29, 2015
