Some Tottenham Hotspur supporters have urged Nabil Bentaleb to stay put at White Hart Lane.

Bentaleb burst on to the scene at Tottenham Hotspur under former manager Tim Sherwood back in 2013, and having impressed with his composed performances at the middle of the park in spite his youth many felt that the Algerian would become a mainstay in the Spurs midfield.

Fast forward to today, and a combination of injuries as well as competition for places have meant that Bentaleb has not quite been able to cement his place as a first-team starter, and persistent fitness problems meant that the 21-year-old was limited to only 167 minutes of Premier League action throughout the course of last season.

With Tottenham having moved on to secure the services of Victor Wanyama from Southampton this summer, it is believed that manager Mauricio Pochettino is open to selling Bentaleb and it was reported last month that Italian giants Napoli were keen on signing the former Lille man (Daily Mail).

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Bentaleb currently remains on the books at Tottenham and has recently returned to pre-season training with the Premier League club.

It remains to be seen whether or not Bentaleb will stay at White Hart Lane beyond the summer and for the time being the midfielder seems to be happy enough to return back to full fitness with Spurs after posting the following picture on social media website Twitter.

In response, Tottenham fans have made their affection for Bentaleb clear and have urged the international not to leave the club this summer.
