The West Ham man has been one of the stars of the tournament this summer with a series of impressive performances for the hosts.
He was key to France's progression from the group stages, and continued that form in the knockout rounds as they have made it all the way to the final.
He will now be key to Didier Deschamps’ side as they take on Portugal and Bilic has sent him a good luck message ahead of the clash.
“I want to wish our Hammer of the Year, Dimitri Payet, the very best of luck in the final,” Bilic told whufc.com.
“Dimi has been one of the best players at the tournament and now he and compatriots have the final against Portugal to look forward to in Paris. Naturally we are all right behind him and hope he is celebrating at the final whistle.”
It will now be interesting to see if Payet can make his final mark on the tournament and help his side to secure the trophy on home soil.
The game is likely to prove a tight affair between the two sides and France will be heavily reliant on him to produce another moment of magic as he has done several times already.
Should he do so, it would cap off what has been an incredible rise for Payet over the last year and further evidence that West Ham's move was an incredible bargain.
