Republic of Ireland's Robbie Brady scores
Koeman has made just one new signing since becoming Everton manager, as his former Ajax and Southampton goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg joined him at Goodison Park earlier this month.
However, with Farhad Moshiri's millions at his disposal, Koeman is expected to splash the cash this summer - and one possible target for Everton could be Norwich star Robbie Brady.
Today's edition of The Sun claims that Everton are now favourites to sign Brady after Leicester City, Stoke City, Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion and West Ham all pulled out of the race due to Norwich's asking price.
Former Manchester United youngster Brady, 24, enjoyed a strong season with Norwich despite their relegation to the Championship, hitting three goals and two assists in the Premier League before starring at Euro 2016.
Brady was arguably the Republic of Ireland's top player at the European Championships this summer, as he scored against both Italy and France whilst showing off his versatility by playing out wide as well as in the heart of midfield.
Those performances appear to have triggered major interest in signing the versatile Brady, but Norwich allegedly could demand up to £20m for Brady - a demand which has scared off Leicester and West Ham.
Whilst Everton boss Koeman is believed to be planning an offer for the player, it would be a huge shock to see the Toffees fork out that kind of money for Brady, even with Moshiri's millions.
