The Switzerland star is Arsenal's only senior signing of the summer so far.
The Switzerland star is currently Arsenal’s only senior signing of the summer, with the Gunners completing a move for him before the start of Euro 2016.
His performances at the competition have caught the eye, as he put in a series of impressive displays before Switzerland’s eventual exit at the hands of Poland.
Indeed, Gunners fans have not missed those performances and are now eagerly anticipating his arrival at the club.
Parlour has certainly been impressed, saying he believes that the midfielder will fit in well at the Emirates.
"Granit Xhaka, who they've brought in from Borussia Monchengladbach, is a good player,” he told Sky Sports.
“He had a good Euro 2016. He's efficient and good on the ball so he'll fit in well at the Emirates. However, they still could do with maybe one more in there.”
It now remains to be seen whether Xhaka does prove to be a smart signing for Arsenal next season.
Given the money Arsenal have paid for his services he looks destined to be a regular in Arsene Wenger’s midfield moving forward.
They will be hoping he can add the height and strength that has been sorely lacking from their midfielder since Patrick Vieira was leading them to title success.
