The Italian goalkeeper has already linked up with Villa pre-season training after completing his move last week.
Aston Villa goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini has told the club's website that he cannot wait to play for the club's fans, and believes he will find it "very emotional" to step out in front of the Villa Park crowd.
Gollini joined Villa on a four-year deal from relegated Serie A side Hellas Verona last week, and has already linked up with his new teammates at the club's pre-season training camp in Austria.
He played in goal for the first half as Roberto Di Matteo side beat Austrian outfit GAK Graz 8-0 on Saturday before he was replaced by Mark Bunn at half-time as the Villa boss made 11 changes at the break.
The 21-year-old former Manchester United trainee is still relatively inexperienced but he admitted that he cannot wait to play for the "very passionate" Villa supporters in the Championship this season.
Gollini told the club's official website: "I can’t wait to play for these Villa fans. I know they are very passionate.
"I have been on a tour of the stadium and it really is magnificent. I can’t imagine what it will be like when it’s full and everyone is cheering us on. I believe that will be very emotional."
Gollini is likely to be contending with Bunn for the number one spot at Villa next season, although Brad Guzan will be hoping to wipe the slate clean and impress Di Matteo.
Guzan has fallen out of favour amongst Villa fans largely as a result of increasingly inconsistent form and sporadic high-profile errors, and supporters called for the American to be sold upon the signing of Gollini.
