The new Celtic manager says he is delighted by their current solidity and mentality.
The former Liverpool manager took charge of the club back in May following the departure of Ronny Deila at the end of last season.
Pre-season is currently underway, with the Hoops' latest result seeing them play out a 0-0 draw with Maribor.
There have been more positive displays before that draw though, with wins over Olimpija Ljubljana and Sturm Graz under their belts.
Several of the squad have already shared their positive impressions of the new manager, and he has been equally impressed by them, explaining what he thinks of their attitude.
“Our solidity and mentality has been excellent and that is something which is very important when you are trying to form a collective unity,” he told celticfc.net.
“I have been overly pleased by the attitude of the players. There is still a long way to go before we are perfect but in terms of the attitude and what the players are trying to take no board, I have been delighted.”
It now remains to be seen what sort of impact Rodgers has at Celtic next season.
They may have won the title last year, but there was a growing sense of disappointment under Deila, especially surrounding their failure to make it into the Champions League.
There is a swell of positivity around the club at the moment though, and Rodgers will be keen to see his Celtic squad keep up their current attitude throughout the campaign.
