It was confirmed last week that Arsenal had agreed a deal in principle to secure the services of Asano Takuma from Japanese club Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

The Japanese international is a very highly rated player and Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger had described the 21-year-old as a taltned player for the future after the announcement of the deal.

Talented as Asano may be though, Arsenal fans were left a bit underwhelmed by the signing of the youngster – especially as the Gunners have been linked with the likes of Jamie Vardy (The Guardian), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Daily Express) and Edinson Cavani (Daily Express) this summer.

It will now be up to Asano to prove that he is capable of making an impact at Arsenal and the striker has certainly managed to make a positive early impression.

Asano is awaiting the finalization of his move to Arsenal, meaning that he is currently available to feature for Sanfrecce Hiroshima and the Japanese striker starred during his side’s 4-2 defeat to the Kashima Antlers in the J1 League by scoring a wonderful brace.

Arsenal fans were understandably following Asano’s performance during the clash closely and have now taken to social media website Twitter to express their encouragement regarding the incoming striker.
