The Gunners have only made one signing this summer, securing Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Ray Parlour has said that Arsenal need three more signings in this transfer window.

The Gunners were expected to be busy this summer as they seek to bounce back from the disappointment of finishing second last season.

That has not proven to be the case though, as just one new senior players has arrived at the club so far, with Granit Xhaka signing from Borussia Monchengladbach.

That has caused concern among the club’s fans, who have had to watch the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City bringing in several new stars.

Those two teams are looking to be title contenders next season with such signigns, and Parlour believes Arsenal need another three additions if they are to challenge also.

"It's not rocket science in terms of who they need,” he told Sky Sports.

“A striker needs to come in but Arsenal probably need three more players to come in and reinforce the spine of the team. If they can do that they can go on and win the title."

It remains to be seen whether Arsene Wenger does look to make as many as three more signings this summer.

The Frenchman has often avoided adding numerous signings to his squad, insisting that maintaining the balance of a squad is key in the transfer window.

With all of their rivals spending big this summer though, he may be forced to change that policy in the coming weeks.
