Speaking to the club’s official website, Leigh Griffiths says Brendan Rodgers is determined to play attacking football at Celtic.

Rodgers took charge of Celtic at the end of May, following the departure of former boss Ronny Deila at the end of last season.

His arrival at the club has been heralded as a major coup for the Scottish champions, who are hoping the Northern Irishman can get them back into the Champions League group stages after a two-year absence.

They will also be keen to see him adopt the type of attacking football that both Liverpool and Swansea played under his leadership.

He is currently working with his new squad in pre-season, and Griffiths says he has told them he intends to play an attacking brand of football.

“The manager set his stall out on how he wants to play and the fitness levels he wants,” he told celticfc.net.

"[He] has come in and spoken of his desire of how he wants to play and it’s very attacking-minded and that suits me down to the ground.”

It now remains to be seen whether Rodgers can play the attacking football that he wants to next season, but his intentions appear to be clear.

He has already brought in one new attacking recruit, completing a move for Fulham's teenage striker Mousa Dembele last week.

He is likely to want more signings before the end of the transfer window, and it will be interesting to see if he targets players that fit into his specific philosophy.
