The Liverpool defender is free to resume his footballing career after the drugs ban was dropped.
The defender was originally banned for 30 days earlier this year after testing positive for an illegal substance following a clash with Manchester United in the Europa League.
FIFA then extended that sanction at the beginning of May as they opted to ban him from world football.

However, the case has now been closed after a hearing and the defender is free to resume his playing career.
That will come as little compensation to Sakho, who ended up missing a Europa League final and Euro 2016 with France this summer as a result of the ban.

And commenting on Twitter, Lineker expressed his sympathy for the Reds star for missing both events over what proved to be an incorrect charge.
Sakho cleared of doping. Tough to think he missed a Europa League final and @UEFAEURO— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) July 8, 2016
Lineker was not the only one to react on Twitter either as Liverpool fans also shared their views, with some believing that both the club and Sakho should be looking for some form of compensation from the whole affair.
So does #LFC get involved now with Sakho cleared? Strong argument can be made that it cost us points and potentially even Silverware— The Wooligans (@TheWooligans) July 8, 2016
Absolutely shocking the way sakho has been treated by that useless organisation known as UEFA. He could've been playing in a final on Sunday— Jay JFT96 Hicks (@trojan78) July 8, 2016
SAKHO ! SAKHO! SAKHO! ... Knew he was innocent all along— Stephen (@StephenBogle) July 8, 2016
Sakho missed out on the Europa League Final, The Euros, was dropped from Nike and not included in FIFA. I'd be fuming. Livid. Love you, Mama— JM (@ThisMerv) July 8, 2016
Sakho cleared, now to sell him i say— Don corleone (@bubblehonda) July 8, 2016
Sakho had missed a Europa League final and he had apparently been innocent the entire time. Absolute joke.— OG Origi (@FIRMINOFINISH11) July 8, 2016
They should sue UEFA for banning sakho. Losing a key player for a very important game is such a major loss— Danial Dzulkifli (@danialdz_) July 8, 2016
Vindication for Sakho in doping allegations. Great having him back. #LFC— Premier League Talk (@LFCLegacy) July 8, 2016
And I'm happy for Mamadou Sakho, but he really needs to learn his lesson - don't take ANYTHING unless you've cleared it first with the club.— Mark S (@jacobs_ladder71) July 8, 2016
