According to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, reported by the Mirror, Benfica forward Anderson Talisca is close to a move to Liverpool.

The Reds are expected to be busy this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to mould the squad to better suit his needs.

They have already moved to improve their attacking ranks by securing the signing of Sadio Mane from Southampton.

They may be on the lookout for further attacking recruits should Christian Benteke leave, with Crystal Palace currently negotiating for the Belgian.

And it appears that they are close to making a signing, with the Mirror reporting that O Jogo claim they are on the verge of capturing Benfica forward Anderson Talisca.

They claim that Jurgen Klopp's have already made their move for the Brazilian and have applied to the FA for a work permit.

Whether Liverpool’s interest is genuine remains to be seen, with details such as a transfer fee not reported as yet.

The 22-year-old hardly shone last season, making just eight starts in all competitions and scoring three goals.

It is also hard to see where he would fit into the current Reds line up given their current squad is already awash with attacking midfielders as it is.
