Leeds United midfielder Lewis Cook is set to move to Bournemouth later today.
According to a report on Sky Sports, Leeds United could be set to land up to £15 million for Lewis Cook, when he completes a move to Bournemouth.
Cook is expected to move to Bournemouth today, with the transfer edging closer to completion.
The deal was initially said to be worth £6 million, but Sky claim that the transfer is actually far more valuable for Leeds.
The £15 million fee will not be paid entirely up front, but is likely to be made up of add-ons, meaning the payments for the 19-year-old could be staggered.
Massimo Cellino has promised that any funds that Leeds do raise from Cook’s sale will be invested back into the first-team, but the talented youngster’s impending departure has not gone down well at Elland Road.
Cook is one of Leeds’ brightest talents, and he joins a long list of exceptional players to have left the Yorkshire side in recent times.
Leeds have made six signings so far this transfer window, but they are likely to have to re-invest after Cook’s departure.
Cook made 85 appearances for Leeds in total, scoring on five occasions.
