It has been reported by the Spanish publication that Malaga have decided not to sign Albentosa on a permanent contract this summer.
The 27-year-old central defender played on loan for Malaga from Derby during the 2015-16 season.
It has been reported by AS that the Spanish club have decided not to take up the option to sign the former Eibar centre-back on a permanent deal.
Albentosa joined Derby from Eibar on a two-and-a-half-year deal in January 2015, but the Spaniard struggled at the iPro Stadium.
The 27-year-old centre-back could make just eight appearances for Derby during the remainder of the 2014-15 season.
The former Cadiz man created two chances, had a pass accuracy of 73%, and won 22 headers and six tackles.
During the 2015-16 season, Albentosa scored two goals and created 10 chances in 29 La Liga appearances for Malaga.
The defender had a pass accuracy of 69% and a shot accuracy of 47%, and won 51 headers, four dribbles and 22 tackles.
