Leeds fans react on Twitter to Kemar Roofe's signing

Elland Road

Leeds United have now added a sixth new player to their squad this summer.

Oxford's Kemar Roofe celebrates after scoring their first goal

Leeds United fans must have been pinching themselves for much of this week, as deal after deal was announced by the club.

Hot on the heels of Kyle Bartley and Marcus Antonsson came agreements for Rob Green, Matt Grimes and – most excitingly of all – Kemar Roofe.

Leeds needed more fire-power in time for next season and they certainly have that now, with Antonsson and Roofe both expected to score plenty of goals when the new Championship campaign kicks off next month.

The former Oxford United player hit 25 goals last season, and while he is now taking a considerable step up he is more than capable of making a significant impact at Elland Road.

Able to play either up front or on the wing, Roofe adds another option for Monk and Leeds fans were clearly excited after the news broke.

Following the official announcement we took to Twitter to see what Leeds supporters thought of Roofe’s arrival and you can read a selection of what we found below:
