Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have recently returned from their tour of America.
Former Glasgow Rangers defender Carlos Bocanegra has tweeted to say that is great to see his old side ‘back on top’.
Bocanegra was in attendance as Rangers took on Charleston Battery during their tour of America.
Rangers won the tie 2-1, and Bocanegra was pleased to link back up with his former side.
Always good to see old friends @RangersFC play in the states and back on top. Congrats to academy boys Andrew, Chris, Patrick, Lagos (1/2)— Carlos Bocanegra (@BocaBoca3) July 7, 2016
(Cont) Getting game time with Charleston. Great experience for them as we build for the future. @ATLUTD— Carlos Bocanegra (@BocaBoca3) July 7, 2016
Bocanegra currently works as the technical director of Atlanta United, who have a clutch of players on loan at Charleston, so he had a keen interest in the fixture for more than one reason.
Bocanegra made 32 appearances for Rangers over a two-year stay with the Ibrox club.
Rangers won the match against Charleston thanks to goals from Josh Windass and Harry Forrester.
Rangers have now returned from their tour of America, with their pre-season training set to continue back in Glasgow.
The Light Blues have a set of friendly matches scheduled, before their SPFL campaign starts up next month.
