Top four players linked with Leeds this week including Osman, Alastra and Emnes

Swansea manager Garry Monk during the press conference

Leeds United continue to strengthen ahead of the new campaign.

Swansea City's Marvin Emnes

Leeds United manager Garry Monk would have arrived at Elland Road with his own plans as to how to get the best out of the side, but few fans would have expected him to be so quick to add five new faces to the playing staff.

Marcus Antonsson, Kyle Bartley, Hadi Sacko, Rob Green, Matt Grimes and Kemar Roofe have all arrived at Elland Road either permanently or on loan, but the business may not stop there.

Here we take a look at the top five players to have been linked with Leeds this week:

Marvin Emnes (Yorkshire Evening Post)

Monk has already brought in two players from his former club Swansea City so what chance a third?

Marvin Emnes has had a disappointing spell at the Liberty Stadium but he knows how to find the net in the Championship and could be a sensible short-term addition if a deal can be struck.

Leon Osman of Everton in action

Leon Osman (Daily Mail)

If Monk wants more experience in his side he should look no further than former Everton midfielder Leon Osman.

The 35-year-old may be coming to the end of his playing career but he could help Leeds earn promotion back to the top flight.

Dundee's Greg Stewart scoring their first goal

Greg Stewart (Dundee Evening Telegraph)

Dundee forward Greg Stewart has been linked with Leeds for a while now and this week he spoke of his pride at being linked with the Whites.

His current club have no intention of cashing in on him this summer yet given his talent he deserves a place on this list.

Fabrizio Alastra (Media Gol)

While Leeds are looking good in the goalkeeping department, that has not stopped them being linked with one for the future.

The 18-year-old’s agent recently acknowledged that Leeds were interested in the player while accepting that a deal was far from being done.
