It is no secret that West Ham United are currently in the market to sign a new high profile striker this summer and the Hammers seemed to have been linked to every imaginable name out there in recent times.
Alexandre Lacazette (Daily Telegraph), Carlos Bacca (Daily Mail), Manolo Giabbiadini (Gianluca Di Marzio) and Carlos Tevez (ESPN) are just some of the players that have been touted with a move to Olympic Stadium over the past few weeks.
Now according to reports from Calcio Mercato, claims have been made that West Ham are keen on signing Simone Zaza as well and have placed a £23 million bid for the Italian international.
Zaza struggled for regular first team football at Juventus last season and as a result, it is widely expected that the 25-year-old will be leaving Turin this summer in search of regular first team football.
West Ham are believed to be among a host of clubs interested in signing Zaza and are allegedly ready to spend big to recruit the services of the attacker.
The Hammers are not the only club to have placed a concrete bid on the table for Zaza though as the report state that even German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg are said to have offered around £25 million in an attempt to land the former Sassuolo star.
Would Zaza be a good signing for West Ham United?
