His arrival was heralded as a major coup for the Scottish Premiership champions, who are thought to have fought off rivals in the Premier League for his services.
The former Liverpool boss is now firmly focused on the start of pre-season with two friendly wins already under his belt.

His main focus will naturally be on getting everyone’s fitness up to scratch, but Sviatchenko says that Rodgers often talks about the team needing to stick together.
“He speaks a lot about the team as we need to stick together when we have a lot of games,” he told celticfc.net.
“All we want is to win games and go to the Champions League and that’s the main goal now.”

It is not surprising to find Rodgers is trying to build a strong team ethic at Celtic given he has done the same thing at his previous clubs.
What will be more interesting to discover is what manner of tactical work he is doing with squad.
He had a distinctive style at both Swansea and Liverpool and it is remains to be seen if he will seek to implement that at his new club also.
