West Ham United lost 3-0 in their first pre-season friendly of the season.
West Ham took on Seattle Sounders in a pre-season friendly last night, and although they were beaten 3-0 by the MLS side, Feghouli still did enough to catch the eye.
The forward has only just signed for the Hammers from Valencia, and there are high hopes for the impact he could make next season.
Feghouli’s display yesterday helped raise expectations even further, as his dribbling and pace came to the fore.
The Algerian international was a constant threat, and although he could not help West Ham avoid defeat, he received a great deal of praise for his showing. Here is the best reaction on Twitter.
I'm just watching the Second Half. Feghouli and Quina looked very good. Nordtveit was spraying the passes. Martinez done well. #WHU— WHUFC Fans Corner (@WHUFCFansCorner) July 6, 2016
Feghouli looks like he is in great shape, has been very dangerous since coming on at the half pic.twitter.com/DMHOK9XHeq— Walid Bylka (@bylka613) July 6, 2016
@Dylantonio6 Lanzini, Feghouli, Byram, Nordveit, Quina all played fantastic. Carroll and Martinez didn't get enough chances but worked hard— WestHamWashington (@WestHamRenton) July 6, 2016
Ok it was only a friendly and yes we lost 3-0 but Feghouli looked decent for the half he was on for.— Jamie seagrave ⚒ (@Jamie_Seagrave) July 6, 2016
@westhamtransfer at least feghouli looked really dangerous. He was playing central and created a bunch of chances. Tons of creativity— BRITT PARKHILL (@britt_parkhill) July 6, 2016
West Ham’s defeat was perhaps understandable, as Seattle are in the middle of their season and Slaven Bilic’s side’s pre-season has only just begun.
West Ham also played Havard Nordtveit for a stage of the match, while a number of youngsters were given a run out.
One of these academy products was Martin Samuelsen, who also caught the eye.
Even though samuelsen was on fire tbh GIVE HIM THE BALL MORE— Britt⚒ (@Brittany_whufc) July 6, 2016
Andy Carroll and Samuelsen looking very very tasty— Charlie Donald (@Roxburghxo) July 6, 2016
I rate: Quina, Browne, Samuelsen, Nordveit and Feghouli highly! Henry: Awful. Byram not at his best! But it's a fitness match, not end of— West Ham Fans (@WestHamSource_) July 6, 2016
