West Ham United are in advanced negotiations to sign AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca, according to ESPN.

Manager Slaven Bilic hs been linked with plenty of strikers this summer, from Michy Batshuayi - who has since joined Chelsea - to Lyon hitman Alexandre Lacazette, for whom they saw a £30 million bid rejected earlier in the transfer window (Goal).

But it looks like it might be the Colombian hitman who ends up in East London this summer as ESPN claim that West Ham are "confident" about getting the deal done.

If true, it would represent a big coup for the Irons, with the 29-year-old netting 45 goals over the past two seasons for AC Milan and Sevilla respectively.

He joined Milan last summer for a reported £25 million, according to ESPN, and although a price is not quoted in the latest report, the Italian club might be reluctant to accept a loss on their investment.

The Hammers certainly need a top-level striker, with Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho - who is expected to leave - their only options at the moment.
