Queens Park Rangers fans appear to have had a mixed reaction to the news that Matt Phillips has joined West Bromwich Albion.

Phillips has been a long-term target of Albion, but it has taken a while to get a deal over the line.

The Scotland international winger finally completed a move to the Hawthorns this morning, and his departure has not caused too much frustration around Loftus Road.

While some Rangers fans admit that Phillips’ exit will cause them to lose quality, others have been pleased to see the back of the skilful winger.

Some QPR fans accused Phillips of not putting in his maximum effort during his time at Loftus Road.

Phillips’ form last season was patchy, as Rangers could only claim a mid-table position in the Championship.

Tony Pulis obviously saw enough in the former Blackpool man to convince him that he was capable of performing for his side, though.

Phillips is the second high profile player to leave QPR this week, following the departure of Leroy Fer.
