Confirmed: Rangers line-up v Charleston Battery, Windass and trialist start

Mark Warburton has named his first Rangers side of 2016/17 as the Gers begin pre-season.

Rangers have announced their starting line-up for their friendly with US side Charleston Battery.

It it the club's first pre-season game of 2016/17, and there are new faces on show for fans of the Light Blues to keep an eye on.

The match kicks off at midnight UK time.

New signing Josh Windass makes his much awaited debut, having clinched his move to the club just a week earlier, with his contract at Accrington Stanley running down on June 30.

He netted 15 league goals for his side last season and would love to mark his Gers debut by getting on target.

Also featuring is trialist Oguchi Onyewu, who is bidding to win a contract with Mark Warburton's side.

He has been training with the club over the past few days and as a former US international, will be hoping that playing on home soil provides him with the inspiration to make a good impression.
