Stiliyan Petrov has taken to Twitter to wish youngster Callum Robinson the best of luck following his move to Preston North End from Aston Villa.

He leaves Villa Park having managed just four league appearances for them during his time at the club.

He returns to Preston on a permanent basis after a loan spell last season, during which he scored two goals in 14 league appearances.

And Petrov was keen to wish Robinson the best of luck as he sent him a message on Twitter.

He was not the only one to send Robinson a message either, as former Villan Ian Taylor also gave him his best wishes.

Robinson will now be hoping he can prove that Villa were wrong to let him go this summer by impressing for Preston next season.

He was never truly given a chance to shine at the club, despite their struggles to find a regular goalscorer in recent years, and he will be keen to show them his quality by shining at Deepdale.
